“ Fantastic place for Japanese food, located a short walk from Angel Station. I have been coming here regularly for close to a decade now, and the food has never dissipated. They serve hearty Japanese dishes, like curry and udon/soba, as well as lighter dishes, like sushi and chicken karaage. Not to forget, they also do delicious specials. They have a great selection of sakes, served both warm and cold. My favourite go to is the warm house sake, served in a lovely 180ml carafe. The service is incredibly warm and friendly, and I have never experienced the staff being anything less than delightful. The interior is a classic and cozy izakaya, making an absolutely lovely spot for a nice lunch or dinner out in the Angel area. Will absolutely keep coming back to Tenshi. ”
“ Tenshi is hands down my favorite Japanese izakaya in London. This restaurant has been around for 15 years, and it’s truly outstanding. The sashimi is fresh and delicious, while the takoyaki and okonomiyaki are as authentic as it gets. The decor has a traditional Japanese vibe, making it feel like you’re dining in a cozy izakaya on the streets of Japan. The service is exceptional as well. I’ll definitely be returning with friends again soon. ”
